Nominate local regeneration projects for prestigious award says MP

    Date: 22 Sep 2008

Andrew Turner, the Island’s MP, today invited Islanders to nominate local regeneration projects for recognition for a British Urban Regeneration Association (BURA) award.

BURA’s annual Awards for Community Inspired Regeneration celebrate the achievements of exceptional grassroots regeneration projects around the UK. Mr Turner believes there are projects on the Island that deserve recognition.

More information is available at: www.bura.org.uk/Awards/Current+BURA+Awards
    Mr Turner said:
“This is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution Islanders make to the regeneration of their communities. By investing their time and effort in these grassroots projects, Island residents make a big difference to the quality of life for everyone. I hope Islanders will nominate one that has made a difference to their community.”
