Island MP to study OFT cross-Solent ferry services report |
Date: 12 Jun 2009
|
Andrew Turner, the Island’s MP has commented on decision released today by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). The OFT is undertaking a consultation on its provisional findings from the market study into the Isle of Wight ferry services.
Mr Turner said: “Whilst this provisional ‘no’ from the Office of Fair Trading is disappointing I am most certainly not giving up. The report is 93 pages long and I will be taking time over the weekend to analyse it in depth and to digest the OFT’s findings.”
Mr Turner added: “It is clear that the report is certainly not a clean bill of health for the cross-Solent ferry services. I will be issuing a full response once I have had the opportunity to review all the information.”
