I would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign for the OFT to investigate the cross-Solent ferry services. I have passed the OFT all the evidence I received and it is now a case of waiting to see what they decide. THey are expected to announce whether a full investigation will be held in May. As someone who was born on the Island it would be nice to be able to see my family regularly however due to the cost of travel I only get to see my family a few times a year usually day visits Why is there such a massive difference in price between a day visit and a longer visit when Im still using exactly the same service As a comparison I would be cheaper for my to fly to Murcia in Spain with Monarch than it is to travel with Wightlink for a short break And that is why Ive visited Spain more often over the last year than I have the Island And I cant be the only person making that change |
