I would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign for the OFT to investigate the cross-Solent ferry services. I have passed the OFT all the evidence I received and it is now a case of waiting to see what they decide. THey are expected to announce whether a full investigation will be held in May. My Partner and I regularly visit the island of wight due to me being from there One day we can book a ticket and it be £17 the next day we can book the same ticket on the same time boat and it be £56 Why should you have a length of time on a ticket when you are paying through the roof for it We have had to pay cancellation fees when we want to cancel but when our boat is cancelled we received no notifcation or compensation Also our van that we have is the same length as a car but yet we always get changed for a van over 44m We have to keep comign over due to family commitments so therefore feel obliged to pay the costs Which can end up a weekend costing us over £10000 in ticketsthank god we dont have to pay for a hotel |
