I would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign for the OFT to investigate the cross-Solent ferry services. I have passed the OFT all the evidence I received and it is now a case of waiting to see what they decide. THey are expected to announce whether a full investigation will be held in May. Last August a retun journey cost me 32 pounds on red funnel this easter the same journey cost 52 pounds and there will be another increase in July When I spoke to red funnel they told me that the price increase was to reflect the high season when i explained that as a resident there was no high season for me just public transport red funnel basically said tough what choice do you have |
