I would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign for the OFT to investigate the cross-Solent ferry services. I have passed the OFT all the evidence I received and it is now a case of waiting to see what they decide. THey are expected to announce whether a full investigation will be held in May. Wightlink is extremely over priced I am a student at university in brighton and it costs me less for a return to brighton than its costs from portsmouth to the isle of wight Another huge problem is the fact that they cancel boats more than often especaily the fast cat if there arent enough people they dont bother to run it People plan their days around the fast cat having prebooked trains on the other side which they cant reach because wightlink does not bother to put on the boats they have on their timetable also people catch specific trains to portsmouth in order to link with the boat and the same problem arises people end up missing important events and often work |
