I would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign for the OFT to investigate the cross-Solent ferry services. I have passed the OFT all the evidence I received and it is now a case of waiting to see what they decide. THey are expected to announce whether a full investigation will be held in May. Thank you for visiting my website. Andrew Turner MP |
Thank you to everyone who has supported my campaign for the Office of Fair Trading to investigate Isle of Wight ferry services.
Comment by terry whichello, freshwaterThe following people and organisations are publicly supporting this campaign. YARMOUTHLYMINGTONSea conditions excepted is it any wonder that Wightlink have an abismal punctuality record when there is neither a any competition and b no government agency monitoring their service This results to the detriment of the Islands economy not to mention our young people from the Island who attend Brockenhurst College being delayed for important lectures andor exams It is a mystery to me why the aforementioned company has to operate 3 or 4 different timetables during the year The very least the OFT should look at is a passengers charter like the train companies At the time of these comments it is taking best part of 4 hours from Yarmouth to London Waterloo UNACCEPTABLE IN THE 21st CENTURY |
