I would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign for the OFT to investigate the cross-Solent ferry services. I have passed the OFT all the evidence I received and it is now a case of waiting to see what they decide. THey are expected to announce whether a full investigation will be held in May. Generally I feel that services to and from the Island are well run There is always a price issue but bearing in mind the need to run what is a public service by a private company I feel that the balance is about right The main arguement should be that the service should be subsidisedAn OFT enquiry will frankly just waste further tax payers money |
