I would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign for  the OFT to investigate the cross-Solent ferry services.

I have passed the OFT all the evidence I received and it is now a case of waiting to see what they decide.  THey are expected to announce whether a full investigation will be held in May.

Thank you for visiting my website.

Dear AndrewIm prompted to write having spent a day cycling from Ryde on each of the last 2 weekendsI would like you to submit my comments as part of the OFT investigation I saw your name in the free newspaperMy main point is how expensive the whole day out on the Island can be The biggest unearned portion of spend is taken by Portsmouth City Council by charging £10 for a days parking not 24hours just a day Bournemouth charges £8So £10 for parkingHovertravel were doing 2 for 1 which is why my daughter and I came over for £1350 At twice that normally we would be put off as thats £37 before you spend anything on the islandRyde should be thriving with people filling the hovercraft and having cheap and fun day out Because the transport and PCC stop this it is unfortunately very noticeable what a poor area Ryde is It seems so unjoined up I would have hoped that yourself Mike Hancock and Sarah McCarthyFry would be working together across party lines to get some dynamic flows of tourists and residents across and around the PortsmouthEast Wight areaRail timetables seem well integratedOn Sunday it got light at 600am on a lovely sunny morning down to the Hovercraft at 8first one not till 915am feels like the attitude Cornwall had 15 years ago of what are you doing here out of seasonRyde railway rolling stockSo lots of little niggles but main point is make the transport including car parking integratedAnd the positivesGreat cycling routes and maps off the netVery good bus drivers who know how to be careful around cyclistsThe guy John who runs wight cycle hire and who really means 365 days a year A phone call at 730pm on Saturday evening arranged a bike from Brading station the following morning Get him to teach customer serviceYates beerBest RegardsPhil
