I would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign for the OFT to investigate the cross-Solent ferry services. I have passed the OFT all the evidence I received and it is now a case of waiting to see what they decide. THey are expected to announce whether a full investigation will be held in May. Thank you for visiting my website. Andrew Turner MP |
Thank you to everyone who has supported my campaign for the Office of Fair Trading to investigate Isle of Wight ferry services.
Comment by Bethan Knight, East Cowes, Creation GreetingsThe following people and organisations are publicly supporting this campaign. My husband son and I travel frequently for business and pleasure using Red Funnel and Wightlink We use the fast jet vehicle ferry and both Wightlink routes I use contract tickets from my employer for work related crossings which makes the cost acceptable I have issues with Red Funnel My son is a student at the Isle of Wight College and as we have 2 homes on the island and in Southampton he frequently travels between the two but cannot get a student ticket Also Red Funnels prices fluctuate wildly and are definitely stacked against the frequent traveller often the season ticket rate is more expensive than buying on the internet At busy times it is virtually impossible to find a seat |
