Andrew's activities as a constituency MP
Andrew is the full-time Member of Parliament for the Island, the biggest constituency in the country and one which demands an effective and determined campaigner.
In the words of a Labour Government Minister, "He never fails to raise the interests of his constituents" (Sally Keeble MP, Minister for Transport).
Every year since his election Andrew has published a Report to Islanders. You can view the most recent reports by clicking the link at the top of this page.
His views on issues which affect his constituents are set out in regular press releases. You can see the most recent of these by clicking on the links to the left of this panel.
Andrew is known as one of the hardest working MPs in the House of Commons - and his record on speaking and voting can be seen on an independent website using the link below. Andrew's voting record is a little below average because the figure covers the whole parliament - including a time when he was ill in 2006/7 - but the figures for taking part in debates and asking questions are for the current parliamentary year which began in November.
The Website also gives also records of expenses claimed since Andrew became an MP in 2001.

If you have any questions about any of these figures please do contact Andrew and ask him to clarify them.
If you would like Andrew to attend an event you are organising please do contact the office giving as much notice as possible. Andrew will always do his best to get along to as many Island events as possible but as you will understand when the House of Commons is sitting he has to spend much of the week in Westminster.
